Located along ridge path 00, this is one of the most important vantage points of the Park. From the top, the eye sweeps across the Romagna side of the Park, the Giogana from Falterona to the Verna, and the Casentino side, closed to the south by the buttress of the Pratomagno. Extensive violet blooms of saffron and snowdrop appear in the clearings surrounding the hill in spring. The extensive beech woods that grow from the Tuscan and Romagna sides also host rich blooms, including those of squill, spotted orchid, and martagon lily.
