The Park territory experienced a sudden depopulation, especially after World War II. Today, although the signs of humankind are still quite evident on the territory, we risk losing all knowledge of the people who have lived for centuries on these mountains. It is therefore important to study, recover and fix these aspects of our local history, such as everyday life, folklore, and knowledge related to trades that have now disappeared: in one word, the culture of the inhabitants of the Tuscan-Romagna Apennines. With this intention, the Park has started the "I Popoli del Parco" project, collecting numerous activities in a single container, with the precise strategy of conserving and enhancing the cultural heritage of this territory. To disseminate the results collected over the years, thanks to the research carried out within the project, a dedicated website has been created.
