DISCOVERING THE BIVVY IN THE LONDA AREA

A trek for sustainable and conscious tourism A splendid excursion at the edge of the Casentinesi Forests National Park will lead us to discover three simple and welcoming bivouacs in the Londa area. The first is located at Lake dell'Aina, the second in Pallereta, and the third in Poggio Ratoio; all are within the Rincine forest complex and are managed by the Unione dei Comuni Valdarno Valdisieve (the first two) and the Municipality of Londa (the last). One of the reasons for this experience is to enhance these structures, through the knowledge of a few important common-sense practices for the conscious and responsible use of a "common good." At the bivouacs along the route, two snacks will be available, provided by the following farms: "Podere Varena" and "Poggio ai Mandri." A trek led by Donata Petracchi GAE and Enrico Giannini GAE, both Recommended Guides of the Casentinesi Forests, Monte Falterona and Campigna National Park.
