Sunday, 12 October 2025 – With the enviromental hiking guide Donata Petracchi – Autumn has arrived! The forest in this season is giving us increasingly warm and vivid colours. The “baroque” forest of Rincine shows off its colours and its most bizarre shapes: from the intense green of the many species of conifers to the golden yellow of the maples, from the bright red of the cherry trees to the silver of the mountain sorbs, from the burgundy of the ash trees to the bronze of the chestnut trees, and then up to the brown-veined ochre of the beeches. In this magnificent atmosphere, we will meet some of the “guardians” of the old farms of Rincine: Matteo de I Piani and Lorenzo with Laura from Poderenuovo. It will certainly be an interesting and enjoyable experience! Meeting point and departure: 9:00 a.m. in front of the Rincine Forest Multipurpose Centre. Total duration of the excursion (including all stops): 6h30. Actual walking time: 4h30. Hiking trail (E) of medium difficulty. Length: 11.5 km. Height difference: +- 520 metres. What to bring: rucksack with at least 1 litre of water, bottle or thermos flask with hot tea, sweet or savory snacks, fresh or dried fruit. Suggested: walking sticks, binoculars and camera.
