Chiusi della Verna

Together with Camaldoli, the Santuario della Verna is one of the religious centers of the Parco Nazionale. Linked to the image of San Francesco, who received the stigmata here, today La Verna is the destination of many pilgrims. The religious orders present in the Foreste Casentinesi have been able to create a peculiar relationship with nature. As a matter of fact, the relationship between Nature and Religion still exists and is constantly fed by the spiritual vitality of the religious communities in Camaldoli and La Verna.
