Studies and Research on the Park.

The knowledge of the natural, historical and cultural issues related conservation are key objectives for a protected area. The very role of the promotion of scientific research is one of the institutional purpose of the Parks, as enshirined in Article 1 of Law 394/91. Since the early years of the Park Authority has worked hard to enable research that met the following objectives:

> Biodiversity conservation with particular reference to species and habitats of Community interest;

> Conservation of environmental emergencies in relation to the use;

> Preservation of historical-witness;

> Preservation and research of folk tradition of the Community Park;

> Understanding and orientation of tourism in the Park.

Research activities have the support and cooperation of the "Corpo Forestale dello Stato" through the "Coordinamento Territoriale per l'Ambiente" of the National Park.
